Definitions
Design is a protean discipline that combines creativity and sensitivity with technology and economics to improve our quality of life with better products, experiences and services.
Design appeals to our emotions, intuition and senses to spark an instant attachment to a product or a service. As such, design has become a crucial factor of competitiveness in many sectors.
Brand design
Brand design is a marketing technique used to establish and manage a brand’s identity among consumers via its design.
Design Thinking
Design Thinking is an approach to innovation and innovation management that combines analytical and intuitive thinking. It relies heavily on a process of co-creativity involving feedback from the end user.
Food design
Food design, also known as culinary design, is design applied to food in all related sectors: hospitality, agriculture, food production and retail, food publishing, etc.
Graphic design
Graphic design involves producing drawings, sketches, illustrations or models that aim to visually communicate a message on various print or digital media.
Packaging design
Packaging design deals with every aspect of product packaging in all market sectors (food or otherwise), from the shape and volume of packaging to its surface appearance. As such it sits at the crossroads of product design, graphic design, and brand design.
Product design

While respecting technical and regulatory requirements, product designers aim to combine aesthetic, ergonomic and functional quality to meet the expectations of users and enhance their quality of life. Product design produces desirability, making it a key component of brand value. As such, it often incorporates aspects of graphic design, UX / UI, sound design and brand design.
Service design
Service design focuses on the functionality and form of services from a customer perspective. It aims to ensure that the service interface is useful, usable and desirable from the customer’s point of view and efficient, effective and differentiating from the provider’s point of view.
Sound design
Sound design is the art of using sound elements to achieve a desired effect. It is used in a variety of fields such as advertising, audio books, video game development and user interface building, as well as in cinema, theater, and music recording and mixing.
Spatial design
Spatial design is the set of techniques used in interior design and signage.
Textile design
Textile design is the process of designing the appearance and structure of fabrics and surfaces resulting from the transformation of textiles, most commonly for clothing and interior decoration but also for automobiles, sport, aerospace, etc.
User Experience (UX) Design
UX (User Experience) refers to the quality of the user’s interaction with and perceptions of an interface, digital device, system or service.
User Interface (UI) Design
UI design, or interface design, consists in the graphic and functional design of user interfaces for machines and electronic devices (websites, software, connected objects, etc.).
