As a partner of the second edition of the Doctor’Preneuriales, The Design Spot has hosted the participating doctoral students for the Doctorial Camp: two days of intensive training to entrepreneurship.

A course to turn an innovative idea into an entrepreneurial project

23 doctoral students have been participating in this new edition of the Doctor’Preneuriales, a course shaped by Université Paris-Saclay for young researchers who want to develop their entrepreneurial spirit.

Brought together to work in team, they have faced the challenge to develop whithin a very short period of time an innovation project that responds to key societal issues, while meeting market needs. To achieve this, participants have attended to a seminar consisting of theoretical, pratical and creative workshops, animated by the Vianeo team.

A design approach to improve a project

Groups had also the opportunity to get an introduction to the Design Thinking methodology in an environment that encourages sharing of ideas and creativity.

Participants could rely on the many resources provided by the center to prototype and so to give shape to their projects ideas, including a web app to democratize the practice of video animation and an universal database to move medical research forward.

At this stage, groups had the chance to receive advices from a designer to improve and sometimes rethink specific aspects of their project, by focusing on the end-user and its experience of the object, interface of service.
